What is Ingenuity Council of Blood Centres India?

Ingenuity Council of Blood Centres India (ICBCI) is the nation’s largest independent, non-profit organization focused exclusively on providing lifesaving blood services.

We work in partnership with local institutions, government and private hospitals and have a network of centres across the states.

Our dedicated team makes sure lifesaving blood is available when and wherever it is needed. But ICBCI is more than a blood centre organization. We also provide comprehensive transfusion medicine services and work on the cutting edge of science and healthcare in the area of transfusion medicine, immunohaematology, tissue banking, blood cell therapies, cancer, blood disorders, diabetes, heart diseases, stroke, dengue, malaria, chikungunya, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis to improving the health and well-being of people- locally, nationally  and internationally.

 

With donor and patient safety always as our top priority, ICBCI leads the way in understanding new threats to blood safety and helping to find practical applications of new knowledge in transfusion biology.

Ingenuity Council of Blood Centres India has remained committed to improving people’s health and wellbeing through a unique combination of excellence in research, education and services. Our ability to take science to impact. Once a product, process and treatment   are made, we validate in real-world settings, which is facilitated through our existing partnerships and global network. We then apply the rigorously validated research to strengthen health systems and shape policy, adding plenty of passion along the way.

Our initiative is to strengthen SDG 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages” but also considerably to SDG 17 “Revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development”.
